Stevens, one heifer, to be divided; to daughters Zerviah Crowell, Huldah Atkins, Grace Pierce and Priscilla Holbrook, the residue of certain property. His son Simon was appointed executor.2

Book Excerpt* 
The Records of Wellfleet, formerly the north precinct of Eastham, Mass., show the following: "July ye 29 1751 The qualified voters of ye Parish being lawfully notified assembled & mett together.... also voted that Simon Newcomb Late Constable have 3 pence on ye pound for gathering ye precinct tax."

According to the Muster Roll, Simon Newcomb was in Colonial Wars, 12 Feb. 1758-59.

In the valuation of Wellfleet, he is put down, "1 poll and 1 poll 'not ratable', 1 house £1 10s. 0d., 2 oxen, 2 cows, 1 swine."4
