| Obituary | Jul 14, 2019 | OBITUARY: NEW HARTFORD - Arthur N. Huxley Jr., 61, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of Susan L. (Sager) Huxley. Art was born Nov. 11, 1957, in Torrington, the son of the late Arthur N. Huxley Sr., Joyce (Andrews) Huxley and his foster parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry F. Williams. He was employed by Inertia Dynamics as a logistics tech. In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived by one son, Steven A. Huxley and his fiancée, Kaitlyn Carver; one brother, Randy Huxley and his wife, Elizabeth Nettleton of Winsted; three sisters, Brenda Stengel of Torrington, Muriel Kinane and her husband, Dan of Winsted, Viki Grathwol and her wife, Susan of Torrington; foster sisters, Ramona Williams of Holyoke, Mass., Wendy Williams-Brand, her husband, Olivier of France, foster brothers Christian Williams of Floresville, Texas, and Brian Williams, his wife, Sarah LeMoine of Virginia; as well as several nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by a special angel, a niece, Erica J. Wheaton. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Cancer Care, 200 Kennedy Drive, Torrington, CT 06790 or to the Animal Welfare Charity of the donor's choice.
