ObituaryOct 25, 2009  OBITUARY: East Bethel, Robert E. Boles, Sr., 73, died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, in Lebanon, NH, after a long illness.

He was born August 31, 1936 in S. Royalton the son of John and Elizabeth (Rowell) Boles.

Robert attended S. Royalton schools. Following his education he worked as a farmer for Cliff Lyon, at Eaton’s Saw Mill, S. Royalton, DCI Lumber Co. in Royalton, as a mechanic at L.W. Greenwood’s in E. Randolph, Trottier’s in S. Royalton and Magalsky’s in Randolph. He also worked at Bethel Mills and most recently worked for Sam Lincoln in Randolph Center. He was married to Dorothy Hayward March 5, 1958 in S. Royalton. Robert enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing and fixing tractors, especially Farmall tractors.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Boles of E. Bethel, 2 sons; Robert Boles, Jr. of Calais and Richard Boles of Quechee, 2 daughters; Debra Barnard of Randolph and Donna Moore of Corvallis, OR, 3 brothers; Frank Boles and Alexander Boles both of S. Royalton and Matthew Boles of N. Tunbridge, a sister Gena Britch of N. Tunbridge and 8 grandchildren. He was predeceased by 4 brothers; John, Leslie, Ernie and Donald Boles and a sister Louise Churchill.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 30, 1:00 P.M. at the Day Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Dumont officiating. Burial will be in the Branch View Cemetery, S. Royalton. Calling hours will be Thursday evening 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
