Mr. Martin was born on January 20, 1941, the son of Howard and Mabel (Brown) Wright. He was a graduate of Leland & Gray High School, served four years in the U.S. Navy, and worked for Fuller Tractor in Beeville, Texas, and Keats Tractor in Keene, N.H. Mr. Martin loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events, fishing and hunting, haying, the Red Sox, and he loved to barbeque. He loved all of nature, especially his dogs and cats.

On July 30, 1963, in Beeville, Texas, he married Patricia K. Peter Martin who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Katherine Lynn Martin; his sons, Douglas Howard Martin and wife Tanya and David Paul Martin; his brother, Doug Wright; his sister, Ellen Archambault; his grandchildren, Connor and Audrey Martin; his aunt, June Williams; and he leaves many friends and family in Texas. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Norm Martin, Ann Dean and Karen Martin.

There will be a memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Townshend, Vt. A reception will follow the service at the Grafton Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Cottage Hospital, PO Box 1, Townshend, VT 05353; or Grafton Cares.
