He was born on April 20,1952 to the late John and Florence (Carver) Boocock. Graduated from Richford High School and Community College of Vermont with Associates Degree in Law Enforcement.

David worked many years in law enforcement, Winooski Police Department, South Burlington Police Department Vermont State Police, and US Department of Justice and Homeland Security Border Patrol in Richford VT as Senior Border Agent. He served in the US Air Force Vermont National Guard as a Master Sergeant and US Naval Reserve as Quartermaster Second Class. After his retirement he worked at CACI Premier Technology as a defense investigator.

David was an avid reader; he enjoyed reading war history, working on his tractor, gardening with Deborah and spending time at his woodlot in Montgomery. He was a Member of the National Rifle Association as a certified firearms instructor and ranger officer, volunteer Deputy State Game Warden for Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife, and a consultant for UNISYS Corporation BOEING Integrated Defense Systems.

He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Santopietro Boocock, although he didn’t have any children of his own, he had three special stepchildren that he considered his own: Kathryn Butler and Brandon of Altoona PA, Shaun and wife Kim of Essex Junction, and Todd and wife Cindy of Fort Myers FL. Grandchildren, Keely, Alyssa, Abilene, and Jameson. Sisters, Gail Benjamin, and Lynda Taplin. David was predeceased by his parents John and Florence, brother John Boocock Jr., Leland Vincent (Bonhomme) and his special dog Buddy. David leaves behind his special companion’s cat Gunny and dog Tyson.

The family would like to thank special friends for their support, Fiona Lugo, David Crockett, Bob and Avis Anderson, Ace and Lori Greenia, Ken and Sue Kelly, Bill and Katie Pickers, and US Border Patrol.

Friends and family are invited to David’s Life Celebration to include visitation on Tuesday January 4, 2022 from 4:00 pm-7:00pm, at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue Enosburg Falls VT 05450. Interment will be held on Wednesday January 5, 2022, 1:00 pm at the Vermont Veterans Cemetery, 487 Furnace Rd, Randolph Center, VT 05061
