ObituaryJun 1, 2005  OBITUARY: Chester C.Shiflett 82,of Crozet,died at a local hospital on Thurday, March 31, 2005. He was born Feb 4,1923, in Boonesville,to the late Arthur C.Shiflett and Theresa Shiflett. He is survived by his wife of 51 years,Theresa Shiflett of Crozet,one sister, Agnes N. Shiflett of Boonesville, many nieces and nephews,and a close friend, Clyde McAllister and his wife,Caroline of Crozet. He retired as a welder from Sparrows Point, Md, with 38 years of service, and then moved to Virginia in 1979. He was a member of the American Legion Post 38 in Baltimore,Md, and VFW Crozet Branch. He was a Army Veteran in World War ll. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2005 at Prize Hill,Boonesville Va. Interment will follow in the Prize Hill Cemetery.
