| Obituary | Apr 12, 2012 | OBITUARY: April 12, 2012 Raymond Clifton (R.C.) Laber, 78, of Chilhowie, VA, passed away from this life to be with Jesus on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012. He was born to Loyal Laber and Hazel Abbott, of Morrisville, VT in 1933. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 27 years, Marilyn Laber; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gette Laber Carter and husband, John and Kimiko Cline and husband, David; two brothers, Harold Laber of Grayson and Jacob Laber of Portsmouth, OH and a sister, Marjorie Woods of Rogersville, TN. Along with a host of extended family and friends. Mr. Laber was a 20 year army veteran with eight years of civil service in Washington, DC. He loved his country and was in the Vietnam War. A life celebration was held in his honor and memory on Friday, April 6th at the Deer Valley Baptist Church in Chilhowie, VA. Full military funeral was given in honor of service to his country.
