ObituaryDec 3, 2008  OBITUARY: RICHFORD – Wendell Robert “Dub” Fletcher, age 79, passed away Tuesday evening December 2, 2008 at the Redstone Villa Nursing Home in St. Albans. He was born September 7, 1929 in Richford the son of the late Olin W. & Dorothy (Combs) Fletcher. Dub was a resident of Richford most of his life. He was employed at H. K. Webster (Blue Seal Feeds) for over 40 years and was also employed as a janitor during same time at the Franklin Lamoille Bank in Richford. He was a U. S. Army veteran during the Korean War, being honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 12 of Richford. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry work and spending time at his camp on Lake Carmi. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Grandshaw) Fletcher of Richford; his son Paul Fletcher and his wife Louise of Richford; his grandson, Chief Petty Officer Joel Fletcher his wife Elizabeth and their daughter Elissa Ann Terry all of Jacksonville, FL; his granddaughter, Elyssa Fletcher and her companion Eli Gubuzda of Montgomery; his sister, Lucille Robtoy of Franklin; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Wilma Garrow. There will be no funeral services or visiting hours held at this time. A graveside service will be held next spring in the Richford Center Cemetery and will be announced at a later date.
