ObituaryMar 15, 2011  OBITUARY: RICHFORD – L. Blanche Lumbra, age 97, widow of Harley Lumbra, passed away Monday afternoon March 14, 2011 at the St. Albans Health Care Facility in St. Albans. She was born in Bakersfield on September 23, 1913 the daughter of the late David & Cora (Tatro) Bashaw. Blanche was a longtime resident of Richford and a member of All Saints Catholic Church. For a brief period she worked at Gilman’s Variety Store. As a young woman she worked on various farms with her husband although most of her adult life was focused on raising her daughter, helping her daughter raise her children and being there for her sister while she was raising her sons. Blanche enjoyed bowling, playing BINGO, and working in her gardens especially her flower gardens. She also volunteered at the Richford Senior Meal Site and local blood drawings. Blanche is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Dupra and her husband Bruce of Richford; her grandchildren, Tony Dupra and his fiancée Kathy Royea of Richford and Sonya Greeno and her husband Gary of St. Albans; her great granddaughter, Alexis Dupra of Amesbury, MA; one niece and four nephews and their families. Besides her husband and parents, Blanche was predeceased by her sister, Sadie Ducolon; and her brothers, Charles & Joseph Bashaw; and a nephew, Barry Ducolon. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 152 Main St., Richford with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will take place later this spring in All Saints Cemetery in Richford. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 5-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford.
