| Obituary | Jan 25, 2001 | OBITUARY: Ethel Virginia Rountrey, 82, of the 1100 block of Rodgers St., died Jan. 24, 2001. She was born in South Norfolk, Va., and retired as secretary to admiral from Norfolk Naval Shipyard on June 29, 1979. She was a member of Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She also delivered for Meals on Wheels and worked at the polls during elections. She was a member of Business and Professional Women's Club. She was predeceased by her parents, Callie Shipp Rountrey and Hubert Hayes Rountrey Sr. She is survived by a niece and her husband, Ellen R. Cornelius and Richard A. of Sykesville, Md; and two great-nieces, Callie V. Cornelius of Winchester, Va., and Amelia M. Cornelius of Sykesville, Md. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, by the Rev. John Andrews. Francis A.
