She was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Hartford, Conn., daughter of Louis and Gertrude (Goodale) Provencher.

She attended high school in Vergennes and received a degree in nursing at Dutchess County Community College in 1976.

She married Arnold Frederic Lattrell in April 1942.

Mrs. Lattrell worked at Wassaic Developmental Center from 1958 until her retirement in 1981. During this time, she started working with the blind.

Survivors include her husband of Bridport and Paisley, Fla; seven sons, Louis Lattrell, Frederick Lattrell and William Lattrell, all of Amenia, N.Y., Donald Lattrell of Kingston, N.Y., Gary Lattrell of Pawling, N.Y., John Lattrell of Bangor, N.Y., and James Lattrell of Sharon, Conn; three daughters, Joan MacDonald of Cleveland, Tenn., Jeanne Meyer of Pawling, N.Y., and Janette Lattrell of Lincoln; 36 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Harry Provencher and Arthur Provencher, both of Bridport, David Provencher of Walden, N.Y., Eugene Provencher of Plattsburg, N.Y., James Provencher of Salisbury and Jack Provencher of Canaan; a sister, Edith Green of St. Albans; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes.
