He was born in Rutland, Vermont, on Sept. 17, 1930, son of James E. Reardon Sr. and Mary "Mamie" Costello Reardon.

Junie was a 1949 graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

He married the love of his life, Beverly Jean Wetherby, on April 27, 1957, in Christ the King Church.
He was employed at Moore Business Forms as a supervisor for over 25 years.

Junie was a devout member of St. Peter Church.

Surviving are his three loving children, James B. Reardon and wife Debra, of Essex Town, John M. Reardon and longtime companion Lisa Flory, of Pittsford, and Mary M. Kapitanski and husband Stephen, of Rutland; six sisters, Mary Catherine "Kack" Leahy, Barbara Giordano and husband Robert, Claire Gallagher, Ann Sweeney, Charleen Sylvanowicz and husband John, and Margaret "Peggy" Walsh and husband Robert; two brothers, Donald and Charles Reardon; six grandchildren, Nathan Kapitanski, Michael Reardon, Stephanie Langley and husband Patrick, Jennifer Reardon, Shelby Flory-Reardon and Benjamin A.J. Reardon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Beverly, on June 20, 2014; two brothers, Bernard "Ollie" Reardon and John "Butch" Reardon; two sisters, Sr. Elizabeth Reardon and Joan Palmieri.

Although small in stature, Junie displayed such a great personality, always a kind word to everyone. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, with numerous accomplishments in life.

He enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime member of Proctor-Pittsford Country Club. He was an avid sports fan for his MSJ Mounties, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and New England Patriots.

Junie was a member of the American Legion and volunteered many hours to the MSJ Athletic Association and the VT Department of Corrections Reparative Board and Court Diversion Board, receiving a Citizen of the Year Award from the VT Department of Corrections.
Friends may call at the Clifford Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at St. Peter Church in Rutland. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Houle, pastor. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mount St. Joseph Academy Athletic Association, in care of Dick Densmore, 85 Mead St., West Rutland, VT 05777.
