Alice was born May 25, 1936, in North Clarendon, Vermont, the daughter of the late Bert and Mamie (Balch) Wetherby. Shortly after her graduation from High School, Alice married Ronald C. Parker on July 30, 1955 at the Community Church in Middletown Springs, VT.

During the early years of their marriage Alice worked as a waitress at The Rogers Homestead in Middletown Springs as well as various other restaurants in the area. Together with her husband Ron, they owned and operated their family dairy farm for several years. She was a very active member of the East Hebron (NY) Presbyterian Church. She was also a longtime member of the Hebron Grange and for several years worked on the Election Board for the Town of Hebron. Alice enjoyed reading, playing cards with their many friends and doing crafts such as quilling.

Alice is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Ronald C. Parker of Hebron, NY, her daughter, Rhonda M. Parker and her companion Alan Welch of Clifton Park, NY, her son, Peter G. Parker and his wife Nila of Orange, MA, her two grandchildren, Amanda Marie Parker and Christopher Gregory Parker, both of Clifton Park, NY. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Helen Rogers of Bennington, VT, Beverly Reardon of Rutland, VT, Emily Keefe of Burlington, VT, Clinton Wetherby of Middletown Springs, VT, Roland, Frank, Alfred and Bruce Wetherby all of Rutland, VT, Herbert "Oucky" Wetherby of Ft. Edward, NY, Edmond Wetherby of Saratoga, NY, Michael Wetherby of North Clarendon, VT, and by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Elsie Duranty and two brothers, Harmon and Frederick Wetherby.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, November 19, 2004, at 1 p.m. at the East Hebron Presbyterian Church in E. Hebron, NY. The Rev. Robert L. Flower, Pastor of the South Granville Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Pleasant View Cemetery in Middletown Springs, VT. Following the graveside committal and burial service, Alice's family will receive family and friends at the Middletown Springs Volunteer Fire House for a reception and continued fellowship.

There will be no visiting hours.
