ObituaryDec 28, 2004  OBITUARY: FAIRFIELD -- Patricia C. Niles, 70, a resident of this area for most of her lifetime, passed away Monday morning at Fanny Allen Health Care in Burlington following a lengthy illness. She was born in Enosburg on Feb. 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Gordon W. and Marguerite (Paradee) Boomhower. She was the widow of Elwin D. Niles, who died Oct. 26, 2000.

Pat was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a graduate of the Fanny Allen School of Nursing. She worked for many years at Verdelle Village Nursing Home in St. Albans. She enjoyed her family, reading, and researching genealogy.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Jeff Combs of Montgomery, and Cheryl and Roland Laviolette of East Fairfield; four brothers, Richard Boomhower of Hinesburg, Gordon A. "Sonny" Boomhower and his wife, Carol, of Fairfield, George Boomhower and his wife, Linda, of Essex, and Jack Boomhower and his wife, Shelly, of Jericho; two sisters, Peggy Lawyer and her husband, Thomas, of Bakersfield and Gloria Kane of Fairfield. She also leaves three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Joshua and Jennifer Combs; and a great-granddaughter, Destiny; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Ernest D. Niles in 1988; and two sisters, Mabel Greene and Arieta St. Pierre.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of Pat's family. Arrangements are by the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.
