ObituaryJul 22, 2018  OBITUARY: Rosemary (Twohill) Fuhr, 78, of Southington, formerly of Wallingford, wife of the late Walter Fuhr, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at her home.

She was born in New Haven on April 5, 1940, a daughter of the late Edward and Madeline (Glynn) Twohill.

She worked as a secretary for Expert Embroidery for many years until retiring. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and her family was everything to her. She was a breast cancer survivor and was a very active volunteer in the Reach To Recovery program.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Plawecki and her husband, Robert, of New Hartford, Chris Fuhr and his wife, Renee, of Wallingford, and Karen Powers and her husband, Todd, of Middlefield; her sisters, Madeline Oertel, of Wallingford, and Sister Patricia Twohill O.P., of Columbus, Ohio; her grandchildren, Kaylee Powers, Taylor Fuhr, Cameron Powers, and Sydney Fuhr; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Edward Twohill Jr., Robert Twohill, Arline Kennedy, and Rita Twohill; and her stepmother, Edith Twohill.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Monday, July 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. directly at Most Holy Trinity Church, Wallingford, on Tuesday, July 24. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Rosemary's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, CT Chapter, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067; or to Dominican Sisters of Peace, 2320 Airport Drive, Columbus, OH, 432119.
