ObituaryFeb 6, 2013  OBITUARY: St. Albans - Alma C. Harvey, a lifelong resident of this area passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013, at the Franklin County Rehab with her loving family at her side.

Alma was born in St. Albans on September 24, 1921, the daughter of the late Delphis and Germaine (Boucher) L'Esperance.

On February 9, 1942, in St. Albans; she married Howard E. Harvey who preceded her in death on August 3, 2002.

Alma was a wise, strong, loyal, family woman, a true Vermonter at heart. Her husband, Howard, pre-deceased her by 10 years, and she has since longed to be reunited with the love of her life. Their 5 children were the focus and dedication of their lives. They spent many hours together enjoying hunting, camping, snowmobiling, and evening car rides looking for deer. She loved to cook, spending time in her flower beds and vegetable garden. Her grandchildren, great grandchildren and recently her great-great grandchildren were all a special part of her life. She never missed sending a birthday card to family or friends, and was always there to lend an ear. She impacted many lives, too numerous to name, if you knew her, you were in her thoughts and prayers. She always spoke of the friends she made while working at Ames's Department Store, and found the staff at the Franklin County Rehab to be a part of her family.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We find peace in knowing she has been reunited in heaven with those who have passed before her.

Survivors include her sons, Maurice "Moe" Harvey and wife, Mary Mead of Charlotte, and Charles "Chuck" and Solange Harvey, of Burlington. Her daughters, Elaine and Roger Lissenden, of Panama City Beach, Florida, Donna and Spencer Brooks of St. Albans, Susan and Thomas Miller of Swanton; grandchildren, Krista Harvey, Jason and Andrea Harvey, Kelly and John Fisher, Karen and Bruce Lefebvre, Roger and Utahvy Lissenden, Tayt Brooks, Keely Brooks and partner Bob McCall, Ashley and Ryan Lanoue, and Erin Harvey; great grandchildren, Michael, Shawnee, Jason, Elaina, Ben, Emily, Cooper, Carter, and her great- great grandchildren, Julianna and Aidean.
