| Obituary | Feb 8, 2014 | OBITUARY: Mahoney – Charles P. of Falmouth, formerly of Medford MA, died Monday, February 3, 2014 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Pauline (Paula) (Carew). Dear brother of Paul Mahoney and his wife MaryAnn of Medford; and the late Ruth O’Brien, Frances DeMasi, Joann Mahoney, Phyllis Mahoney, Virginia Fennelly, Florence Petronio, Jean Clark, Barbara Edgerly, Thomas “Bud” Mahoney, James Mahoney, and Joseph Mahoney. Also survived by several brother and sister-in-laws as well as many nieces and nephews. Charlie served as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and was a retired Massachusetts State Trooper. After his retirement from the Massachusetts State Police, he worked for many years at Cape Cod Country Club as a starter and a ranger. Charlie was known for his warm and engaging personality and was truly loved by all who met him. Visiting Hours will be Monday, February 10 from 4-8 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main ST. (Rt. 28) Falmouth Center. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 11, at St. Anthony's Church, 167 East Falmouth Hwy. East Falmouth. Burial will follow at the V. A. National Cemetery of Massachusetts in Bourne. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 or to St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth, MA.
