| Obituary | May 19, 2011 | OBITUARY: George A. LaGrange, 87, of Okeechobee passed away May 18, 2011 at Raulerson Hospital. He was born January 15, 1924 in Enosburg, Vermont to Abram and Helena LaGrange. Mr. LaGrange proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He came to Okeechobee from Vermont 65 years ago. He worked at the Boy’s School. He was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church. Mr. LaGrange is survived by his wife, Evelyn LaGrange; son, Charles A. LaGrange; four daughters, Brenda Prescott, Debbie Basket (John) all of Okeechobee, Sandy Sandy (Vince) of Inverness and Darlene Green (Charlie) of Vidalia, GA; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 8 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Fouraker officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
