ObituaryMar 21, 2006  OBITUARY: After her mother's death, she was raised by her grandparents, James and Nettie Darby. She attended Worcester schools and Montpelier Seminary and was graduated as a Registered Nurse from Heaton Hospital School of Nursing in 1937. She and Rollie lived in Waterbury until 1958 when they moved to Montpelier, where she worked at Heaton Hospital. in 1968 she became head medical-surgical nurse at CVH until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the VT Nurses' Assn, the Montpelier Women's Club, and attended the First Baptist Church in Montpelier. She was also an RSVP volunteer, a hospice worker for CVHH&H, and assisted at clinics and Red Cross blood drawings. Hobbies included traveling, reading, knitting, gardening and her children.
