ObituaryJan 4, 2019  OBITUARY: Elizabeth Louise “Betty” McKee Puckett was born December 11, 1925, in Sayre, Oklahoma, to Walter and Ina (Marshall) Schultz and passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018, at OU Medical Center in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 93 years and 19 days.

Betty graduated from Albuquerque, New Mexico High School and Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She was an educator her entire career, teaching in public schools for 38 years.

Betty married her first husband, Elmo McKee, in 1946. They were married 39 years until his passing in 1985. She met her second husband, Blaine Puckett, in 1990 and they were married until his passing in 2000.

Betty was involved in the Methodist Church, as well as several community and professional organizations. She traveled all over the world and the United States.

Betty is survived by her son, Tom McKee and wife, Jana of Littleton, Colorado; daughter, Lou Cunningham and husband, David of Mustang, Oklahoma; daughter, Jo Greene and husband, Al of Blue Springs, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Carol McKee of Jefferson City, Missouri (Lynn’s wife); eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands T. Elmo McKee and Blaine Puckett; sister Maxine Crook (2010), and son, Lynn McKee (2011)

The family extends their thanks and gratitude to LaQuita Crandell, Dr. Chris Martin, the staff at OU Medical Center, Edmond and to the staff and administrators of Tuscany Village who made Betty’s final years so fun and eventful. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude, Memphis, TN 38105.
