Perley was born in Sudbury on November 9, 1933. He was the son of Perley and Lula (Branch) Disorda, Sr. He grew up in Whiting where he received his education. In his earlier years he farmed on his grandparent’s farm and later farmed for Herve Chartrand and Bob Wilbur. He was a veteran of Korea, where he earned a Bronze Service Star and a Combat Infantryman Badge. Following the honorable discharge, he returned home and worked for Vermont Marble Company and the maintenance department at Brandon Training School. He was an electrician helper with Bud DeLancey for many years. He retired in 1992. He was a member of Brandon American legion Post #55.

Surviving are 2 sisters; Viola Austin of North Carolina and Phyllis Bailey of Brandon. A granddaughter and several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by his wife; Mildred (Munger) Disorda on January 22, 2013; they were married in Brandon on March 21, 1957, a son; Stanley Disorda, 2 brother’s; Albert Disorda and James “Mick” Disorda, 2 sisters; Rachael Denis and Jane Gove and 1 grandson.

The graveside committal service and burial, with military honors, will take place, at a later date in Forest Dale Cemetery.

Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; Rutland Area Visiting Nurse & Hospice, 7 Albert Cree Drive, Rutland, VT 05701.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
