ObituaryNov 14, 1983  OBITUARY: CLINES CORNERS, N.M. - Federal Aviation Administration officials Sunday were investigating a site near Clines Corner, N.M., where a twin engine airplane crashed, killing two California residents. The victims were identified by state police as pilot R. Marshall Tolles of Ontario, Calif., and Kathleen Ellis, 24, of Cucamonga, Calif.
The bodies of the two victims were found Saturday by the Civil Air Patrol.

GROTON – Marshall Moore “Jock” Tolls, 36, of 2639 Calaveas Place, Ont., Calif., formerly of Groton, died Nov. 12 in a plane crash in New Mexico.

Born in Leominster, Oct. 9, 1947, the son of Raymond and the late Geraldine (Moore) Tolls. He attended Groton High School and Essex Agricultural School, moving to California in 1969 where he started his own business, buying and selling airplanes and parts.
Tolls held licenses for flying airplanes and helicopters for the past 10 years.
He was recently appointed Deputy Sheriff of San Bernadino, Calif.
He leaves his father and stepmother, Raymond and Hilda Tolls of Groton; a son, Joshua Tolls of West Groton; two daughters, Julie Tolls of West Groton and Pauline M. Tolls in California; two sisters, Ramona E. Tolls of Groton and Mrs. Peter (Nan) Quintin of Pepperell.
Calling hours in the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St., Groton, will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
Interment of ashes will be in Groton Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the First Parish Church Unitarian Building Fund, Groton 01450.
