Geraldine married Raymond Eliot Tolles August 6, 1946 in Ayer, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Raymond was born November 20, 1913 in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Williard Proctor Tolles and Nellie Anderson. Raymond died April 11, 2000 at 86 years of age. The PEPPERELL FREE PRESS reported on April 12, 2000: "Eighty-six year old Raymond Tolles died early Tuesday morning, the result of injuries received in a two-vehicle accident Monday on Longley Road. According to Groton Police, the accident was reported at 11:15 a.m. on Monday April 10, when Police, Fire, and EMS were called to Longley Road at the intersection of Drumlin Hill Road. There authorities found a badly damaged motor vehicle with two occupants and an oil truck owned by West Oil of Harvard resting on its side. Investigation of the accident revealed that a car operated by (his wife) Hilda Tolles, 84, of Longley Road in Groton was traveling north on Longley Road when it crossed the south-bound lane, into the path of the oil delivery truck being operated by Douglas Peterson, 37, of East Main Street in Ayer. Ray Tolles was life-flighted from the scene to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Raymond was employed at Shepley Hill Orchards as operator in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Circa 1930, Raymond served in the military. Circa 1943 he was a Master Sergeant in the 486th Engineers Division, U.S. Army. In the 1980's, he contacted members of the 486th Engineers and started organizing reunions each year in different parts of the country.

He became Marshall Moore Tolles's adoptive father in 1947. Raymond, a Unitarian, was a member of the First Parish Unitarian Church in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He resided in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

Raymond was employed at the Town of Groton as Constable in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts date unknown. He was a member of Groton Men's Club and the American Legion Post in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

"With the exception of only a few years, Mr. Tolles spent his entire life in Groton, most of it on his beloved farm on Longley Road, and most of it as a farmer. Eventually he built the sawmill he had always wanted and began cutting boards in 1989. He was in the process (2000) of building a hay storage barn with his own cut lumber and labor."

Raymond was a member of Groton Historical Society in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Raymond's funeral was held April 15, 2000 at First Parish Unitarian Church in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
