ObituaryMay 1, 1974  OBITUARY: Mr. Hawkins was born in St. Johnsbury Jan. 9, 1919, the son of Charles and Doris (Courtney) Hawkins.

He was employed as a truck driver for the AG. Anderson Co. Inc. He belonged to the Loyal Order of the Moose 1090 and was an officer of the Legion of the Moose 92.

He leaves his wife, Pearl (Durkee) Hawkins of St. Albans; two sons, William B.J.R. of Milford, Pa., and Charles L. of Barnet Center; three daughters, Mrs. John (Mary Anne) Oliver of Shohola, Pa., Mrs. Wayne (Joanne) Ashford of Lyndonville and Mrs. Gene (Diane) Godreau of Rockville, Md., a brother Carroll, of St. Johnsbury; a sister, Mrs. Consuela Fernandes of St. Johnsbury; six grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 878 Main St., St. Albans with the Rev. Howard L. Stimmel officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will be in the family lot in St. Albans Bay Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the Heald Funeral Home.
