ObituaryDec 5, 2012  OBITUARY: Veronica Meigs, formerly of River Street in St. Johnsbury, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at the age of 92.

She was born in St. Johnsbury on Sept. 3, 1920, the daughter of William and Dora (Sevigny) Dubuc. She attended Catholic school in St. Johnsbury. On Dec. 16, 1945, she married Robert M. Meigs. Her husband Robert passed away on June 10, 1962 and her son Robert M. Meigs Jr. passed away on March 3, 1996.

Veronica was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was a full-time homemaker, and loved taking care of her family, especially the children. She was a good friend to many: Marion Penniman, Lucile Murray and Emma Blaney, to name a few. These women greeted her on the other side.

She loved her pets and had numerous cats and dogs, which she cared for like her friends and family. They gave her great comfort as she aged.

She is survived by three daughters: Patricia Cutts of St. Johnsbury, Carolyn Willson and husband Douglas of Danville, and Lucille McKee and partner Luc Rancourt of St. Johnsbury; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; her son Robert's former wife Vickie Marcy and his wife at the time of his death his beloved Patti Meigs, two sisters Dorlice Clouatre of St. Johnsbury, Theresa Labor and husband Percy of Barre, Vt. She was predeceased by a brother Arthur Dubuc.
