ObituaryApr 7, 2011  OBITUARY: Bath, NH - Norman Roger Patoine, 79, of Wild Ammonoosuc Road died on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH.

Norman was born in Cabot, VT on March 30, 1932, a son of Henry and Rosa (Meurnier) Patoine. He married Winnifred Anair on November 27, 1963.

Norman operated his own excavation business. He also served as a Correctional Officer at the Grafton County Jail for 20 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Woodsville. Together, Norman and Winnifred enjoyed wintering in Zephyr Hills, FL for 19 years. He always enjoyed trading, auctions, car show, and flea markets.

Norman was predeceased by a daughter, Katherine Patoine on September 5, 2008, and by two brothers, Henry and Leo Patoine. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Winnifred Patoine of Bath; a daughter Diane Huckins and husband Donald of North Haverhill, NH; a son Howard Patoine of Lisbon, NH; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; eight brothers, Clem Patoine of Lyndonville, VT, Lawrence Patoine, Fernand Patoine, Guy Patoine all of Hardwick, VT, Bernard Patoine of St. Johnsbury, VT, Andy Patoine of Sutton, VT, Victor Patoine of Wolcott, VT, Frank Patoine also of Hardwick; five sisters, Denise Warner of Canaan, NH, Angie Deschamps of Hardwick, Theresa Rayta of Waterville, VT, Lucille Kean of Hardwick, and Marguerite LaBree of Lyndonville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 1-3 PM at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, April 11 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 15 Pine Street, Woodsville, NH, with Father Jeffrey Statz officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Bath, NH at a later date.
