ObituaryOct 8, 1928  OBITUARY: Funeral services for John H. Martin, 90, a member of Roberts post, G.A.R., of this city, who died early Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. David Knipes of North Clarendon, will be held this morning at 8.15 o'clock at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Mary. The burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Mr. Martin served through the Civil war as a private in Company I., 10th Vermont regiment.
Besides Mrs. Knipes, Mr. Martin is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. F.L. Lapara of Lowell, Mass. and Mrs. J.P. Bidgood of North Clarendon, three sons, John Martin jr. and Louis Martin of Rutland and William Martin of Buffalo, N.Y., also by 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Mr. Martin was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Mary.
Roberts post carried out the order's ritual service yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of Mr. Martin.
