Mr. Champagne was born in Burlington, Vt., Oct. 26, 1893, the son of Edward and Grace (Bell) Champagne.

He was a member of Clinton Lodge 155, Free and Accepted Masons.

Survivors include his wife, the former Elizabeth Gifford; two sons, Edward of Harrisburg, Pa., Eugene of Amman, Jordan; five daughters, Mrs. Theodore Manley and Mrs. Patricia Figart, Mrs. Grace Edwards and Mrs. Ethel Shepard, all of Plattsburgh and Mrs. Virginia Young of Middleburgh, N.Y; two brothers, Arthur Champagne and Raymond Champagne of Plattsburgh; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The body is at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home where calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be a Masonic Service tonight at 8. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
