ObituaryFeb 10, 2008  OBITUARY: WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. - Mrs. Carol Edna McDowell, 71, of White River Jct., Vt., passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Waccamaw Community Hospital, surrounded by her family. Mrs. McDowell was born April 8, 1936 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Norman and Doris Coleman Coburn. Mrs. McDowell loved living at Myrtle Beach during the winter months and Vermont during the summer months. She was predeceased by one son, Jason Grant. Surviving are her husband, Francis McDowell of the home; one son, Bruce McDowell of St. Johnsbury, Vt; four daughters, Susan Foot and her husband, Keith, of Las Vegas, Brenda Beer and her husband, Dennis, of Auburn, N.H., Paula Fairchild and her husband, Barry, of Kempton, Penn. and Dee Lolli and her husband, Tony, of East Burke, Vt; one brother, Peter Coburn of Mass; three grandchildren, Emily Poginy, Abbie Fitzpatrick and Paula Beer; two great-grandchildren, Michael and Aidan Poginy; and a special nephew, Donald Berry and his wife, Fay, of Aynor.

A service will be held in White River Jct., Vt. at a later date.
