He was born in Auburn on March 28, 1911, the son of Augustin and Rose Anna (St.Pierre) Royer and had been a resident of Manchester most of his life.
He had worked for Concord and Varney textile mills and retired from the city of Manchester Library where he had been a custodian.
Members of his family include his wife, Estelle A. (Gilbert) Royer of Manchester; two sons, Roger Royer of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Mark Hollis of Deerfield; two daughters, Cecile Russell of Manchester and Anita Laterza of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Marie Church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
