She was born October 2, 1922, in Brownington, a daughter of Bruce and Antoinette (Marc Aurele) Bouthillier.

On June 7, 1941, she married Florio Laramie who predeceased her on September 25, 1990. On February 22, 2000, she married William Burgess Sr. who also predeceased her on April 5, 2010.

Mrs. Burgess was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Ladies of St. Anne.

She was employed by the following businesses: the former Kennett Restaurant, Border Motel restaurant, Eastside Pharmacy and Bogner of America.

Mrs. Burgess was an avid bingo player and she loved playing cards with her family. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially making meat pies, chicken pot pies, and doughnuts.

After her retirement, she and Mr. Laramie worked a small upholstery business out of their home. She later taught a few upholstery classes at North Country Adult Services. While she was married to Mr. Burgess, she enjoyed summers at his camp on Seymour Lake in Morgan.

She is survived by her children: Pauline Sheehan and her husband, Dick, of The Villages, Florida, Susan Monfette and her husband, Craig, of Newport, Raymond Laramie and his wife, Diane, of Newport; by stepson William Burgess Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Lebanon, New Hampshire; by her grandchildren: Craig Monfette and his wife, Melba, of West Monroe, Louisiana, Brian Pulver and his wife, Sue, of Enfield, Connecticut, Michelle Lamothe and her fiancé, Tim Carty, of Swanton, Peter Pulver and his wife, Sue, of Newport, Danny Monfette and his wife, Sam, of East Burke, Philip Laramie and his wife, Melissa, of Newport, and Christopher Laramie and his fiancée, Kendra Hinchliffe, of Winooski; by 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by great-grandson Joey Monfette; great-great-granddaughter Alaina Monfette; and by the following siblings: Tony, George, Tom, Lucille, Rose, Claire, Jeannette, Simone, and Raymonde.

Funeral services were held on May 2 at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport where a Mass will be celebrated. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery.
