| Obituary | Jul 13, 2015 | OBITUARY: BRANDON - George Mark Gove Jr., age 79, died Saturday, July 11, 2015, at his home in Brandon. Mr. Gove was born in Brandon on May 16, 1936, the was the son of George Mark and Helen (Morse) Gove Sr. He grew up in Brandon where he received his early education and had attended Brandon High School. In earlier years, he had worked as an apprentice electrician for Bud DeLancey. He later was employed by Vermont Marble for over 25 years. He retired in 2001 as a machine operator at New England Woodcraft following 22 years of service. Mr. Gove was a gentleman farmer who loved his animals and spending time in his garden. He was an avid bowler and had been a league bowler for many years. Beloved Husband of Edith (Bradley) Gove of Brandon, whom he married in Brandon on August 6, 1994. He was predeceased by his first wife, Jane Gove, in 1979; a daughter, Sheila M. Gove, in 1974; and a son, Mark D. Gove, in 1975. The graveside committal service and burial will follow in the family lot in Pine Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral home in Brandon.
