ObituaryOct 21, 1997  OBITUARY: Swanton - Ralph T. Minckler, 78 a lifelong resident of this area, passed away October 20, 1997 unexpectedly at the Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington.

He was born April 11, 1919 the son of the late Charles and Cora (Longe) Minckler. He attended school in Highgate and later became employed with Central Vermont Railroad as a mechanic for 20 years.

Ralph will be remembered by those who knew him for his love of telling jokes and stories and his love for fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Eunice and their four children, Rita Ledoux and her friend Jim of Highgate Springs, Thomas Minckler and his wife Debbie of Fairfield, Carol Tessier and her husband David of Highgate Springs, Charles Minckler and his girlfriend Cookie of Highgate Springs. He also leaves his brothers and sisters, Stanley Minckler of Swanton, Hilda St. Francis of Swanton, Muriel LeClair of Franklin, Evelyn Hope of Brookfield, Mass. He was predeceased by his brother, Carl Minckler. Ralph also leaves his eight brothers and sister-in-laws: seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held for family and friends Thursday, October 23, 1977 at 11a.m. at the Highgate Center Cemetery. Gifts in Ralph's memory may be made to Missisquoi Valley Rescue, P.O. Box 22 Swanton, Vt 05488
