ObituaryNov 4, 2010  OBITUARY: QUECHEE – A Mass of Christian burial for Beverly Blood Potwin, 80, who died Nov. 1, 2010 at the Genesis Elder Care Center in Lebanon, N.H., will be held at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Woodstock on Friday, Nov. 5 at 2 pm. Burial will follow in the family cemetery on Red Barn Road in Quechee. Visiting hours will be held Nov. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock.

Beverly was born on April 7, 1930 in Hanover, N.H., the daughter of Howard R. Sr., and Julia Anita (Murray) Blood.

Beverly grew up working and living on the Highland Homestead Farm on Hillside Road in Taftsville.
She went to school in Taftsville and Woodstock and on November 29, 1947 she married Roger V. Potwin at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Woodstock.
Beverly spent many years working with Roger in the logging business and farming. Together they also owned and operated the Covered Bridge Diner in Taftsville, and eventually became real estate brokers for the Strout Realty Co, placing in the top 25 realtors in the country for the Strout Company. Beverly and Roger retired to their farm in Quechee to enjoy life in their log cabin.
Beverly enjoyed picking four leaf clovers, working on the local Cancer Drives, and was well-known for having a perfect memory of all birthdays and special occasions for each and every member of the family. She was a loving, caring, and giving person who will be truly missed by all.

Beverly is survived by her four children; Christine Howland of Wheelock, VT, Kathleen Dana of Quechee, Lawrence Potwin of Quechee, and Shirley Moxley of Selby, SD; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Fred and Roger Blood; three sisters, Ellen Everly, Phyllis Salls, and Nancy Blood; and her step-mother Janet Blood.
She was predeceased by her husband Roger; two infant sons, Phillip and James; one grandson, Joseph Howland; two sisters; Francis O. Frink and Sharon Moore; and two brothers; Howard, Jr. and Thomas P. Blood.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock.
