ObituaryAug 25, 2008  OBITUARY: BERKSHIRE – Deanna D. Carr, age 67, wife of Roger Carr, passed away Sunday morning August 24, 2008 at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born January 7, 1941 in Montgomery the daughter of the late Clayton & Josephine (Greene) Elkins. Deanna had worked on several area dairy farms and had also waitressed and cooked at Phyllis’s Diner and Jim’s Place both in Sheldon and at the Dairy Center in Enosburgh. She enjoyed playing BINGO, cooking, going for rides, lawn sales and shopping. She will always be remembered for her willingness to help others. She is survived by her husband, Roger Carr of Berkshire. They were married July 30, 1980. She is also survived by her children, Ricky Thompson of Berkshire, James Thompson and his wife Sherry of Enosburgh, Cristal Allain and her wife Charlene Rivers of St. Albans, and Roger Carr Jr. of Berkshire; grandchildren, Justin & Sonya Thompson, Dakota Champagne, Ethan Carr, Krista, Ryan & Zach Russell, and Karrie Hall; a brother and his wife, Michael & Maggie Elkins of Montgomery; 2 sisters and their husbands, Maxine & Pete Farrar of Richford, and Janice & James Adams of Fairfield; mother-in-law, Ethel Carr of St. Albans; several nieces and nephews. Deanna’s family wishes to thank her special care-givers, Penny Hall & Dorothy Clair Funeral services will be held Thursday August 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Enosburg Falls. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls.
