ObituaryOct 23, 1901  OBITUARY: Polly Davis was born in Washington county, Ohio, April 4, 1812, and died at the home of her daughter, Cynthia Rummell, in Otsego township, Oct. 13, 1901, aged 89 years, 6 months and 9 days.

The deceased was married twice, the first marriage being to Chester Burch, Nov. 10, 1831, in Washington county, Ohio, and the second marriage being to Henry Burch, of Steuben county, Indiana, in the fall of 1882. Soon after her first marriage they moved to Marion county, Ohio, living there one year and then moved to Steuben county, Indiana, where they lived, with the exception of one year, until her death. To the first union were born eight children, three of whom preceded her to the better land. She was baptized by Elder John Reid, of Ohio, and lived a consistent Christian life until death set her spirit free. She leaves a husband, five children, twenty-six grand children and several great grandchildren to mourn her loss. Funeral services were conducted by Elder J. W. Keefer.
