ObituaryJan 7, 1976  OBITUARY: Harold E. Briggs, 76, formerly of 40 Mereline Ave., Plainville, died Tuesday at Hartford Hospital after a long illness.

He was formerly employed at the Bradley Co. of Forrestville and had lived in Plainville for the last 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Sophia (Hunt) Briggs of Plainville; two daughters Mrs. Evelyn Raymond of Fitchburg, Mass. and Mrs. Mary Murdock of Proctor, Vt; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ruth Hunt of Plainville, a stepson, Merrill Hunt of Simsbury; a sister, Mrs. Jane Powers of Forrestville; a brother Egbert Briggs of Proctor, Vt; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Plainville Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Cemetery, Plainville, Friends my call at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
