ObituaryJun 4, 2018  OBITUARY: ENOSBURG FALLS – Ronald Fredrick Duso, age 79, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Birchwood Terrace in Burlington with his loving wife at his side.

He was born in Enosburg Falls, January 7, 1939 to the late Carmi and Bertha (Haire) Duso.

Ronald graduated from Enosburg Falls High School in 1957. He attended one semester of college and decided it wasn’t for him. Ron then joined the United States Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged in 1962. Upon return to Enosburg Falls, Ronald worked for the Vermont Department of Transportation and retired after 30 years.

He actively participated in his community, volunteering for the fire department and the planning commission. Ronald also spent numerous hours setting up and showing model trains at the Enosburg Historical Museum. He enjoyed playing golf and sharing meal times with friends in the local restaurants. He will be missed dearly by many.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Shirley (Reynolds) Duso of Enosburg Falls; step-son, Michael Wescott of Florida; granddaughters, Karly Wescott of Texas and Emma Wescott of Tennessee and their mother, Christine Vaillancourt of Franklin; step-sisters, Barbara Hayes of Enosburg Falls, and Charlene McIntyre of Arizona and her husband Jonathon; step-brothers, Robert Lumnah of New Hampshire and his wife Nancy, and James Dudley of Ohio and his wife Faith. He is also survived by four brothers in law and a sister in law and their families in Canada. Besides his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his sister, Elsie Corey.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 1:30 PM at the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church, 245 Church Street, Enosburg Falls. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Interment will take place at the family’s convenience in Missiquoi Cemetery in Enosburg Falls.
