ObituaryNov 6, 2009  OBITUARY: SPENCER, MASS - Muriel E. (Higgins) Cantell, 88, passed away suddenly at her home in Silver Point, TN on Monday September 14th, 2009. She leaves 2 sons, John Cantell Jr. of Bloomington, TN, and Bruce Cantell of Silver Point, TN; 2 daughters, Muriel Wallace of Spencer, MA, Donna Cantell of Webster, MA; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, Kenneth Cantell, a daughter, Sheryl Anne Cantell, and husband John L. Cantell. Mrs. Cantell grew up in Dorchester, MA and later moved to Quincy, MA and then Natick, MA, before moving to Brookfield, MA where she lived for many years before going to Tennessee. She worked at Brookfield Shoe and Martin Wallpaper of Worcester, and did hospice care. She enjoyed music, dancing, but most of all she loved socializing with family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 16th, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Holland Cemetery. Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St. is assisting the family.
