BARRE - Theodore B. Pecor Jr., 61, of Lindbergh Avenue, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., surrounded by his family.

Born in Barre on March 8, 1952, he was the son of the late Theodore B. Pecor Sr. and Florence (Witkowski) Pecor.

Theodore, better known by family and friends as Ted or Skip, attended schools in Williamstown and was a graduate of Williamstown High School, class of 1970.

He was previously married to Marlene Tousignant.

He was employed at Rock of Ages Quarry as a channel bar operator for 25 years.

He later was employed as a facility manager for Central Vermont Community Action Council Center Inc. in Barre for 18 years.

His memberships include the Canadian Club of Barre; American Legion, Post 10 of Barre; and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 70 of East Barre.

Among his interests were hunting, fishing, horseshoes, and playing cards with family and friends; and he especially enjoyed spending precious time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his pet dog, Red.

Survivors include two sons, Jason Pecor and his wife, Jodi, of South Barre, and Ted Pecor and his companion, Billie Jo Gillmore, of Graniteville; and two special grandsons, Drew Pecor and Kyle Pecor. He is also survived by his companion, Debbie Austin, of Barre. Three sisters also survive, Patricia Wescom and her husband, Roy, of East Barre, Sandy Tremblay, of Barre Town, and Anna Martin and her husband, Darrell, of Graniteville; one brother, David Pecor, and his wife, Debra, of Poquoson, Va; as well as many nieces, nephews and many special friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Corey Pecor; one sister, Constance Carroll; and one niece, Amanda Taylor.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., Barre. The Rev. Albert Collins Jr. of the United Presbyterian Church of Topsham, Vt., will officiate the service. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. Extra parking is available in St. Monica's parking lot.

Burial will follow the service in Hope Cemetery in Barre.

Arrangements are in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., Barre.
