ObituaryOct 6, 2003  OBITUARY: WALLINGFORD - Michael E. Garrow, 51, died at his home in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Sept. 18, 2003.

He was born May 26, 1952, the son of Roland and Lois Garrow.

He was raised in Wallingford and graduated from Wallingford High School.

Shortly after high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and retired following 22 years of service. He was then employed by the Navy in the Loss Prevention Department. He received many medals and service commendations throughout his career. He served during the Vietnam War, as well as numerous deployments to the Far East.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah of Ewa Beach; his mother, Lois Garrow of Wallingford; a son, Michael Garrow of Las Vegas, Nev; two daughters, Fredrica McCartney of Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina and Teresa Valdez of Fort Walton Beach, Fla; four brothers, Christopher Garrow and Stephen Garrow, both of Wallingford, David Garrow and Ronald Garrow, both of Rutland; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Roland Garrow.

Military funeral services were held on Sept. 30, 2003, at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
