ObituaryFeb 26, 2013  OBITUARY: Robert G. (Bob) Hauter 84 passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at his home in Wayside. He was born on June 22, 1928 in Long Branch, NJ and was raised in West Long Branch, NJ. Bob worked in the Building business all of his life. He learned his trade with Slocum and Sons and eventually started his own business in the same field. He also franchised with Everlite Aluminum Greenhouses out of Cleveland, Ohio.
He served in the National Guard from 1950-1958. He was also a charter member and Vice-President of the Monmouth Shore Points Motorcycle Club in Neptune, N.J. from 1947-1955. Bob enjoyed spending time at home and working in his shop. He also loved spending time with his family and friends; this is how he enjoyed life most. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Oscar D. and Grace (Obre) Hauter, and a brother, Edward D. Hauter. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gyneth Hauter; his children, Robert D. Hauter of Bridgeville, DE, Lori Mulder of Katy, TX, and Scott Hauter and his wife Catherine of Neptune City, NJ; his grandchildren, Eric Mulder and his wife Jennifer, Jamie Mulder, Alexandria Nash and Olivia Nash; his great-grandchildren, Garrett McCart, Averie Mulder and Audrey Mulder; his siblings, Eleanore Aras of Red Bank, Richard Hauter and his wife Dorothy of Oceanport, Betty Oldford of Live Oak, FL. and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon with the service beginning at 11:00 am at Bongarzone Funeral Home, 2400 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls, In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
