ObituaryApr 30, 2019  OBITUARY: ENOSBURG FALLS – Philip W. Longe, age 63, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

He was born in St. Albans on April 7, 1956, the son of Wesley and Shirley (Buker) Longe.

Philip grew up in Sheldon and attended Enosburg Falls High School. He worked various jobs throughout his life at Griswold, Harrisons Concrete, Wyman’s, Lucille Farms for 26 years, Century Arms, and O’Reilly Auto. Philip also worked as Santa during the holiday season, a job he held near and dear to his heart. He enjoyed snowmobile racing with Longe Brothers Racing, collecting Matchbox cars and Tonka trucks, time spent at car shows with his cherished 1964 Nova and his son Jeremiah, and camping with his family at Lake Elmore. Philip also had a flair for cooking which he shared with his son Hayden. He will be remembered for his warm heart that he tried to hide with his grumpy old man sense of humor.

He is survived by his sons, Jeremiah Longe and his wife Patience of Swanton; and Hayden Longe of Enosburg Falls, and their mother Lisa Keith of Palm Meadows, FL; granddaughter, Elaina Longe of Swanton; brothers, Gary Longe of St. Albans, and Wayne Longe of Johnson; sister, Rhea Desroches and her husband Bob of Vergennes; cousin, Tim Longe of West Enosburgh; and nieces, Lisa Laughlin of Sheldon, and Amy Langlois of Johnson. Besides his parents, Philip was predeceased by his uncles and aunts.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickenson Ave., Enosburg Falls.

Visitation will be held on Saturday at Spears Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service.
