ObituaryOct 29, 1902  OBITUARY: Mary Garber, widow of the late Michael Garber, and mother of the Councilman F.H. Garber, died very suddenly last night at 10:30 o'clock, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. S.A. Duke, No. 510 Nicholson Street. Mrs. Garber was ill only two hours, her death being to to congestion of the lungs. At 8 o'clock Mrs. Garber was in her usual health and was pleasantly talking with members of the family. She was seventy-three years of age and, though a native of Hanover, Germany, had spent the greater portion of her life in this country. For many years she had been a member of Fulton Baptest Church and until recent months had been an active worker in all its undertakings. She is survived by two sons--Councilman Fred H. Garber and William M. Garber--and five duahgters--Mrs. Norman Jordan, Mrs. S.A. Duke, Mrs. John H. Pease, Mrs. James A Black and Miss Mary Garber. funeral arrangements will not be made until today.
