| Obituary | Nov 26, 2013 | OBITUARY: SIMS – The Rev. Aydlett James "AJ" Eure Jr., 84, of Sims died November 17, 2013 in Wilson. Rev. Eure, a native of Gates County, was a retired United Methodist minister. He was preceded in death by his son, Jaye Eure; his daughter, Aimee Jewel Eure; and his sister, Josephine Horton. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Boykin Eure; sons, Michael D. Eure and wife, Joyce, and Andy Boswell and wife, Kim; a daughter, Lea George; two granddaughters; three grandsons; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Edsel Eure; a sister, Eris Calimer; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to Winstead United Methodist Church, 1407 South Tarboro Street, Wilson, NC 27893 or to Sims United Methodist Church, PO Box 110, Sims, NC 27880.
