| Obituary | Aug 12, 2011 | OBITUARY: Helen R. Taylor, 79, passed away peacefully December 11, 2011. Mrs. Taylor was born January 24, 1932 to the late Sornie and Aurelia Rountree in Gates County, N.C. She retired from T.R.T.-H.R.T. after many years of dedicated service. Mrs. Taylor was always active in her community. She was a longtime member of Bayside Baptist Church, the MI Hummel Club, and the Eastern Star Bayside Chapter 181. Some of her greatest joys were spending time in her garden looking over her numerous rose bushes, playing the organ, and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed. Left to cherish her memory are: two sons, Thomas Taylor and wife Paula, Linwood Taylor and wife Shawna; three daughters, Patricia Watkins and husband David, Linda Roughton and husband Sid, Judith Saunders and husband Phil; two brothers, Robert Rountree, and Herbert Rountree, 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Taylor. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
