| Obituary | Apr 9, 2003 | OBITUARY: Gilbert H. Tatro, 76, passed away on April 6, 2003 in Sarasota, Florida He was born Feb. 4, 1927, in Agawam, Mass., and came to Sarasota in 1987 from Suffield, Conn. and Agawam, Massachusetts He retired in 1979 as president of Mohawk Designs in Suffield and served his country honorably during WWII with the US Navy. He was a member of the Mayflower Society, Magna Charta Chapter of Maine and National Society of Plymouth Colony Descendants. Survivors include his wife, Joan; a son, Gilbert Jr. of Sarasota; stepsons Raymond H. Tufts III of Southington, Conn., and Kris G. Tufts of Las Vegas; a sister, Marguerite Sullivan of Wilbraham, Mass; brothers Louis, Bernard and Paul, all of Agawam; and two grandchildren. No local services are scheduled. Memorial Graveside Service will take place on Fri. July 25, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the Agawam Center Cemetery, Agawam, Massachusetts. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home is in charge.
