ObituaryDec 20, 1965  OBITUARY: PALMER, MASS – Raymond A. Pierce, 43, of 9 Bond St., Bondsville, died in his home Sunday, December 19, 1965. He was born in Belchertown Jan. 19, 1922, son of the late Rufus H. and Lillian (Brown) Pierce. He was a World War 2 veteran.

A local resident for 19 years, for the past five years he had been employed as an extruder operator at Pierson Industries. He was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Church.

He leaves his wife, Jeannine I. (Houle) Pierce; two sons, David J. and Raymond A; five daughters, Barbara J., Deborah M., Donna M., Joanne L. and Charlene, all at home; three brothers, Gordon of Monson, Donald of Ware, James of Bondsville; five sisters, Mrs. Louise Capen and Mrs. Pearl Hubbard of Belchertown, Mrs. Rita Wegiel and Mrs. Ina Kopacz of Bondsville, and Mrs. Blanche King of Monson.

Funeral will be at Beers and Story Funeral Home Tuesday at 7:45 with a high mass of requiem at 8:45 in St. Bartholomew’s Church. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Thorndike. Calling hours are today 3 to 4 and 7 to 9.
