ObituaryJan 16, 2006  OBITUARY: MILTON - Alfred L. Beasley, of Milton, formerly of Hamilton, N.J., passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 67.

Mr. Beasley was born in Bayonne, N.J., son of the late Revere and Thelma Sherman Beasley.
He spent most of his life in New Jersey and upon his retirement as a product manager with Johnson & Johnson, he spent four years in Rehoboth Beach and then settled in Milton where he had lived for the past four years.

Mr. Beasley served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960 and was honorably discharged as an Airman 2nd Class.

Mr. Beasley was a member of the Milton Lions Club and was a volunteer with a group of citizens involved with the revitalization of the Overfalls ship in Lewes.

He was a skilled artist and has done many exquisite carvings over the years. He also enjoyed family history and was a member of the Delaware Genealogical Society.

He is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Beasley of Yucca Valley, Calif., Serena Corrigan of Harrisburg, Pa., and Kristina Zigenfus of Morrisville, Pa; one sister, Margaret Banister of Denver; and seven grandchildren.

Viewing will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer reading at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, DE, 19968.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Alfred's memory be made to the Tunnel Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
