Obituary | Mar 6, 1999 | OBITUARY: Benjamin Franklin Wood, 87, died March 4, 1999. He was born March 3, 1912, in North Carolina and was the son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Wood. Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Annie Wood; a daughter, Deborah Dodson of Lockham, Md; a son, Donald R. Wood of Chesapeake; three sisters, Mary Bell Heath of Virginia Beach, Ruth E. Betts and Flora M. Owens, both of Elizabeth City, N.C; two brothers, W.O. Wood of Deon Spring, Fla., and B.J. Wood Jr. of Baltimore, Md; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at Grace Baptist Temple, with visitation at the church one hour before the service. The Rev. Clarke Mahoney will officiate.
